Update... popped in on Xmas eve with my family and had another fantastic meal. Tasty, fresh, generous portions and all served by very welcoming staff. Amazing place to visit for food and drinks.
Called in 2 weeks ago and had a fantastic meal. Have had great meals previously and cannot fault the food, service and prices. Extremely friendly place with a broad menu that delivers tasty and plentiful meals. Highly recommended.

Beautiful food, lovely atmosphere. Shame about the extremely rude waitress. Had an attitude with us as soon as we walked in, we were a family of 6 and made no attempt to make us feel welcome. Wrong starters came out and blamed us for ordering the wrong thing!
Will not be returning unfortunately.

Gutted that you have stopped serving homemade chips.
The ones I had on my last visit reminded me of the ones you get from the Chinese. Hopefully you will be putting these back on the menu.

Passing through the area, we rolled up: two adults, three dogs. Lovely welcome for all five of us. The food was superb and the service was so friendly. Freebies for the hounds as well. We left a well-deserved tip, which was much appreciated.
Recommended. We'll be back.

I came to the pub tonight at 10:45 to order a can of coke and sit with my friends, and Beth who works there made me order 3 cans of coke and refused to order me one because ‘they were closing’ even though there were people drinking, it states they were open till 12am online and she was really rude saying if your planning on staying in the back theres no point, she is rude and makes me not want to go there because of her service its a shame because its a lovely pub and all the other staff are lovely.

Attended for a last minute lunch, greater by a lovely lady who instantly made us feel welcome. It was quiet when we were there but the dining room was spotless and well set out. Popped to the bathroom (always check bathrooms, it’s a good indicator of cleanliness), again everything was really clean and fresh. Menu had plenty of choice. I opted for chili con carne and my friend had a steak (30% off on a Thursday). Both meals arrived in a timely manner and tasted as good as they looked. Will definitely come again, and maybe make an evening of it. Well done half moon, excellent service and food.

On holiday from Llanberis North Wales so we googled best Sunday dinner in Llanelli and got the name of half moon.
Phoned up day before to book and to say we were bringing our dog with us.
We arrived at 12 and we were made welcome by the staff .We had the Sunday carvery and choice of 3 meats I had the beef and turkey and helped myself to the 6 or 7 different veg.
Also I ordered 2 sausage for otis the dog and a pint of carlsberg and a can of diet Pepsi
The total came to £31 which was the same I paid for 2 burgers and a drink at five guys in Swansea the day before
So I recommend half moon as the food is amazing.well worth the money
